Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Foxtail Millet Thinai / Navane. here 1 cup = 80 ml
  • 1/3 cup Split Green Gram Moong dal
  • 2 TBSP Ghee add 1 tsp more for richness
  • 2 tsp Oil any neutral oil works
  • 5 cups of water
  • 1 TBSP Salt or to taste
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 sprig curry leaves
  • 1/4 tsp asafoetida skip for GF
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp ginger grated
  • 1 green chilly optional
  • 1 TBSP cashews skip for nut allergy
