Airfryer roasted chickpeas
Airfryer Roasted Chickpeas is a quick, delicious, healthy Vegan and Gluten Free snack to make anytime.
If there’s one thing that readers of this blog know, I am a fanatic for healthy, nutritious food for most meals. Wherever possible, I would like to convert a deep fried to healthy bakes, using more millets in place of rice, substitute all purpose flour with Gluten Free flours, and opt for non-sugar substitutes in baking like jaggery etc.
One of these days, the hubby was craving for snacks, and due to a recent health scare (yes, things do happen despite our best intentions) , he is off salt / pickles /papad / snacks etc. Food is also restricted in terms of eatables with respect to snacks / Main course etc. So I kept racking my brains for high protein, low carb / low salt snacks that can be made at home, easily and in a sustainable manner.
The oven Roasted Chickpeas was already on the blog, and as the oven is down for repairs, the next best thing – airfryer roasted chickpeas happened and was relished by all.
Keep a big jar of this on the dining table (with under salting it), and you would find it empty in a day or two. Which is what happened to the Airfryer Roasted Chickpeas. Everyone is happy, and am smiling ear to ear for they were perfectly done.

thank you Neha.
I have tried oven roasted chickpeas and it is a quilt free snack to enjoy any time. Must try out the recipe in an air fryer. Your roasted chickpeas have come out so well, look soft and yet crispy.
Thank you Mayuri. yes they come equally well in both the oven and airfryer, but I find the latter more convenient to check the ‘crispiness’ 🙂
This is a lovely and healthy snack for munching. I will try in the oven as I don’t have air fryer.
yes shobha, as mentioned you can try the airfryer too!
Absolutely love the texture and pictures here. And the video with the sound is super cool.

Kalyani, what an easy snack to make and healthy too. I made roasted chickpeas, sometime back but roasted them in the oven. Like how your air fryer roasted chickpeas have turned out crispy and yet soft.
thank u, mayuri. These aren’t soft but crunchy n crispy !
These chickpeas looks so tempting. I like the addition of chaat masala to add flavours to it. I make something similar in the Oven as it’s a quick snack which is full of protein.
