Airfryer Baby Potatoes
Why not? If there’s one veggie that is universally loved, it must be potatoes. Although for my little one, the world revolves around Broccoli and Zucchini. She must be one of the few who doesn’t like Okra too. Buying an Airfryer was on my mind since long, and during the recent (but unforgettable) Pandemic, we bought one and tried a lot of recipes – Airfryer Makhana Chivda, Airfryer Banana Crisps and so many veggies easily sauteed with so little oil. Why not Potatoes, right?
Airfryer Roasted Baby Potatoes- a side or a snack?
Why can’t it be both ? For Potato lovers, it can be anything. The fact that it is low cal and low fat makes it all the more tempting. From Rasam Rice to an appetiser or served along grilled meats (think #Summers and #Barbeque), this can be the most versatile #Glutenfreevegan dish you can make.
Potatoes in so many forms and why not 🙂
FAQs about these Airfryer Roasted Baby Potatoes
- I don’t have an air-fryer – can I still make these? Yes of course. Any cast iron thick skillet or baking these in an oven will give similar results (altho baking times may very).
- Can I use normal potatoes? Yes, you can. If using large ones, cut them to be equal sized to achieve even baking
- Do these potatoes need to be peeled? We love these with the skin on. You may peel them if you wish.
- How do I make these WITHOUT an air-fryer ? Bake them in an oven or saute them in a cast iron skillet for best results. If you like, you can also deep fry this for a super crunchy taste.
- Do I need to par boil them? Yes, it is preferred as the spices seep in better and par boiling them cuts down the bake time.
- What can I serve them these with? These can be eaten as a snack with / without a spicy dip like Tzatziki or Rouigalle (a Mauritian spicy dip) . My favourite with this has been with the Dhaba Style Dahiwali Hari Chutney. Or as a side to grilled meats or salads. My family also enjoys this with Rasam-Rice & Yoghurt Rice as a side.
